Partnerships
Throughout the Summit process, the host country will form partnerships,
strengthen existing alliances and marshall the resources needed
to support the goals and success of the World Summit on the Information
Society.
Partnerships are vital to coordinate and nurture the working relationships
with member states, civil society organizations, private enterprise
and the UN agencies. The result is that the host country is better
prepared to help strengthen the Summit process and facilitate an
effective, collaborative approach.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship at the Summit provides various opportunities for organizations
to have visible exposure and reach out to the highest level of the
international community.
The role of sponsors at WSIS
As organizers, we wish to form sponsorships with companies and organizations
that will take an intelligent approach communicating with and among
the Summit's international community. We also want to learn from
our sponsors by actively involving them and together, identifying
the most relevant areas to their needs.
